Casa Quetzal was purchased in 2003 by well-known Vermont, painter Cynthia Price and her business partner Charles Knox. The changes to hotel have been many, some subtle, some more apparent – though none took away from the original vision of a place in San Miguel. The aesthetics were heightened with more gardens, a new fountain, and more detailed touches in each suite. Efforts were made to make the rooms more appealing to the international traveler by such additions as coffee machines, bathrobes, and special waters and teas in each room.
